As a local non-profit, we are proud and grateful to have supported and enhanced the cultural arts experience in Santa Fe for 60 years.

We currently serve more than 50 local artists from all over New Mexico.

Holly Stults has served three years as the event chair of the Northern New Mexico Fine Arts and Crafts Guild Summer Show Series after Gail Karr took an advisor role. Holly has participated in this guild show as an artist for 20 years as a designer jewelry artist. She earned a BA in Fine Arts with a minor in education. She taught jewelry at F.I.T. in New York City and at SFCC in Santa Fe. In addition, she has extensive fine art show experience having shown her jewelry in hundreds of juried national and local shows since 1980, her first show was at Lincoln Center, NYC. Holly’s experiences uniquely position her to tackle the challenges of show management. Since Holly became the event chair, she has implemented effective new systems making many improvements to functionality.

Our Formation History:

On December 15, 1965, the Temple of Mercy Religious Foundation (T.O.M.) was incorporated as a New Mexico non-profit corporation by Rev. Ruth Johnson, Rev. Jay Victor Scherer and Tomasita Naranjo. The primary intent of the organization was to express the importance of the personal religious or spiritual experiences gained from the practice of an individually chosen belief system and expressed through the medium of art. This was partly manifested through community service.

Rev. Ruth Johnson, the first president of T.O.M. was a local artist. In 1999, ten years after her death, the direction of the group sought to include the promotion of artists and their art in the Northern New Mexico area. Board President Gail Karr and a committee established the Northern New Mexico Fine Arts and Crafts Guild a year later.
