New Mexican Adrian Martinez' natural wood inlay pictures, “Artistry in Wood”, are made up of many different kinds of wood for natural color, no paints or stains are used.

Living in Albuquerque, Adrian Martinez has operated a small business for 30 years making natural wood inlay pictures. In high school, he worked alongside his father in northern New Mexico making southwest style furniture, where he was taught furniture making and woodcarving.

After receiving a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he continued to create wood pictures as a hobby until he left the corporate world to pursue his art on a full-time basis. In those 30 years, he has developed many unique designs.

His designs include wildlife and desert and southwest scenery which emphasize our northern New Mexico history and culture.

Called "Artistry in Wood", these natural wood inlay pictures are made up of many different kinds of wood for natural color. Techniques such as wood burning, wood carving are used in addition to genuine turquoise inlay.
