My drive to portray the landscape started in childhood and I completed a BA through the College of Santa Fe in 1984. My continued education was through a Fine Art Printshop. There I studied the Fine Artists that walked in and learned how to handle mixing the colors and all the approaches to Monotypes, Etching, Linocut and Collagraphs. To me this was a Graduate experience that lasted 10 years.
My work consists of all these (Printmaking) but I also may include; soft pastel, charcoal, watercolor, color pencil, and acrylic. No photographs in my work though people think I do.
After 10 years as a Master Printer, I started to exhibit in outdoor exhibitions. Traveling to Arizona, Colorado, California, Texas and within the state of New Mexico. I am self-employed as an artist. The shows I do within the state are, New Mexico Artisans Market, Renaissance Arts and Crafts Fair, Contemporary Hispanic Market, Santa Fe Society of Artists, Challenge New Mexico and Santa Fe Fiesta.
I have done Gallery shows, mainly group exhibitions but I have belonged to several Galleries in the past; Act One gallery, Taos NM, Dolona Roberts Gallery, Santa Fe, Bear Gallery, El Paso, Delgado Art Gallery, Santa Fe.
Look forward to experiencing new group to show with.
