Miro and Maria Kenarov

New Mexican Miro Kenarov is a ceramic artist and Maria Kenarov is a painter. They collaborate to create "Canvas on Clay" mixed media art collections.

Maria
Maria Kenarova, a Bulgarian-born Santa Fe ceramic artist, received her Master of Fine Arts in 1989 from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. She works in the field of decorative ceramics and handmade ceramic wall panels. Her works have appeared in exhibitions in Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, the Netherlands, and the U.S.


Maria moved to the U.S. in 1993 with her husband and son. Since 2001, she has lived and worked in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her unique ceramic artwork is currently on display at variety of galleries and gift and craft shops throughout the U.S.


Current gallery representations include: Mountain Arts Gallery in Ruidoso, NM; Earthwood Collections in Estes Park, CO; Esteban's and Chapel of the Holly Cross in Sedona, AZ and Rusty Rooster, Wickenburg, AZ.


Miro
Miro is a Bulgarian-born U.S. artist currently residing in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He received his MFA from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia Bulgaria in 1988.


In his native country Miro worked in the fields of book illustration, graphic design, and printmaking. His deep interest in the technique of stone lithography led him to the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1993, Miro started his adventure in the New World as an American artist. He has worked as a graphic artist, art director, producer, and a freelance artist for a number of U.S. companies, such as, Reddy News Corp., ScienTech, Inc., BIOS Group, Prowess Software, TRW, and Northrop Grumman.


In 2001, Miro moved with his family to Santa Fe. Along with his wife Maria, a ceramic artist, he has built a new home and studios in the ''Land of Enchantment."


Miro regularly participates in art festivals and art shows in the Southwest and around the country. Recent participations in major Art Shows and Festivals include:
